How we order psychologists on Souldis
Version 0 ·
This page explains how the list of psychologists in the Souldis app is built and in what order it appears. We want patients and psychologists to see and understand how we work.
Who appears
A psychologist appears on the list when all of these are true:
- Souldis has reviewed their licence.
- They have set a session price.
- They have an available time in the next 90 days.
- They are taking new patients.
- They and their clinic are set to be visible on Souldis.
- Card payment through Souldis is active for them at their clinic.
Search and filters
You can search by name and filter by specialty and focus area. If you choose more than one, you see those who match all of them.
The order
The psychologist with the earliest available time comes first, then the next earliest, and so on. Only times that have not passed count, and only those show on the card. If two or more have their first available time at the same minute, a fixed internal number that no one chooses decides the order between them. Nothing else decides the order.
What never affects the order
- Price. More or less expensive sessions are not ranked higher.
- What Souldis earns. What a clinic pays Souldis has no effect on the order.
- Popularity. Neither the number of bookings nor clicks.
- Reviews. Souldis has no stars and no reviews of psychologists.
- No one can pay for a better place, and no one at Souldis can move anyone up or down.
Who provides the service
The psychologists work at independent clinics. The clinic sells the session, takes the payment and, together with the psychologist, carries professional responsibility for the service. Sáltækni ehf. (reg. no. 520123-0830) owns and runs Souldis and provides the software.
Fairness
Sáldís, the first clinic on Souldis, is connected to Sáltækni's management. It matters to how we develop the software. In the ordering it stands on equal footing with every other clinic: it follows the same rules described above, the ordering does not know who owns which clinic, and no one can move anyone up or down.
Changes and comments
We are developing the ordering further, for example so that psychologists who are equal take turns at the top. We publish new ordering rules here at least 30 days before they take effect, with a date, and anyone is welcome to comment during that time. Bug fixes, and changes that the law or safety require, can take effect at once; we then record them here with a date and an explanation. Psychologists who find something unfair are especially encouraged to tell us.
Coming change (published 2 November 2026): the app will also be able to show the list by clinic. Each clinic then appears once, in the place its highest-placed psychologist would take, so a clinic with more psychologists is more likely to appear near the top. A clinic appears when one of its psychologists matches both the search and the filters. A psychologist who runs their own practice alone appears as a practice in the clinic view. The list still shows all psychologists the first time it opens. After that, it opens in the view the user chose last. The order of the psychologists themselves does not change. This takes effect on 2 December 2026 at the earliest.
