Ask us to delete your account

support@souldis.com

We answer within two working days.

What deleting does

  • You are logged out on every device & can no longer log in.
  • Your name, e-mail address, phone number & photo are removed from your account.
  • Your Google or Apple sign-in link is removed.
  • Souldis stops sending you notices & e-mails.

What is kept

  • Your health record stays with your clinic. The Icelandic Health Records Act (lög 55/2009) requires the clinic to keep it, so it is not deleted. Your patient details, messages, appointments, questionnaires & assignments in the app are not deleted either. If you want a copy, ask your clinic.
  • Receipts for sessions you paid for, which show your name, are kept for as long as accounting law requires.
  • If you confirmed your identity with rafræn skilríki, that confirmation stays with the closed account.

This cannot be undone

Once your account is deleted, it cannot be brought back. If you come back later, you will start with a new account.

Delete some of your data and keep your account

You can ask Souldis to delete some of your data without deleting your account. What we can delete depends on whether the data belongs to your health record.

  1. E-mail personuvernd@souldis.com (or support@souldis.com) from the e-mail address on your account.
  2. Say which data you want deleted.

Ask us to delete some of your data

personuvernd@souldis.com

We answer within one month. If the request is large, we may extend that by up to two more months and will tell you.

  • Deleted on request: information outside your health record. For example, contact details you gave beyond what the account needs, bookings that have not taken place, optional communications, and content you entered on your own initiative and have not shared with your therapist. We confirm the deletion to you.
  • Not deleted on request: anything that belongs to your health record. That includes your messages with your therapist, the questionnaire and assignment answers you sent, mood entries you shared, and records of sessions that took place. The Icelandic Health Records Act (lög 55/2009) comes before the general right to erasure. Deleting health record data needs the consent of the Directorate of Health (embætti landlæknis). We explain that route if you ask.

Once you share something with your therapist, it becomes part of your health record. That cannot be undone.
